College Readiness

Texas Success Initiative  (TSI)
Assessment is a college readiness test specifically designed by the College Board to meet the requirements set forth by the Texas Legislature and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).  The TSI assessment aligns to the  Texas College and Career Readiness  standards and evaluates students' basic skills in reading, mathematics and writing. The test can be used to determine whether or not a student is college-ready in these three areas.  Results from the TSI assessment can also be used to determine if a student qualifies for  Dual Credit  courses. TSI re-testing opportunities will be available each semester for students who are interested in dual credit, but have not met college-readiness standards. Please refer to the testing calendar below for specific testing dates.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION

College Board
The College Board is a mission-driven not-for-profit organization that connects students to college success and opportunity.  The College Board develops and administers standardized tests (SAT and AP) and curricula used by K-12 and post-secondary education institutions to promote college-readiness and as part of the college admissions process.

Seguin Early College High School
The Seguin Early College High School is a stand-alone comprehensive “College for All” campus that, beginning in August 2014, will offer four pathways that lead to post-secondary credentials. These pathways, while well-defined, are designed to be fluid so that students may transition seamlessly between them.
