Seguin Independent School District is located 30 minutes east of San Antonio and 50 minutes southwest of Austin, in the growing community of Seguin. Seguin ISD is the largest school district in Guadalupe County, encompassing 365 square miles and serving approximately 7,000 students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade.

- Seguin ISD is home to Ball Early Childhood Center, seven elementary schools (Jefferson, Koennecke, McQueeney, Patlan, Rodriguez, Vogel, and Weinert), two middle schools (Briesemeister and Barnes 6th-8th grade), Seguin High School, Mercer-Blumberg Learning Center, and Seguin Alternative School.
- During the 2025-26 school year, 475 students graduated from Seguin High School. These students earned $5.8 million in scholarship awards. The Class of 2026 also included 18 students who completed the Early College High School program and earned an Associate’s Degree from St. Philip’s College.
- With the exception of football, Seguin ISD’s high school sports fall under District 25-5A, which includes Comal Smithson Valley, Kyle Lehman, Lockhart, New Braunfels, New Braunfels Long Creek, SA Veterans Memorial, and San Antonio MacArthur.
- Seguin’s Matador Football team plays in District 13-5A, which includes Austin Anderson, Austin McCallum, Bastrop Cedar Creek, Boerne Champion, Comal Smithson Valley, Kyle Lehman, Lockhart, and Manor.
