Accessing Gemini

Gemini is available as an app and is integrated into Google Workspace apps you already use, like Docs, Gmail, and Slides so you can access it in a variety of ways. You can simply use it in a web browser like any other website you access or use it on a mobile device by getting the mobile app version.

Using Gemini in Your Web Browser
This is the "hub" for deep brainstorming and long-form content generation.

Step 1: Navigate to gemini.google.com.

Step 2: Sign in using your school (Google Workspace) account.

Step 3: Type your request into the text box at the bottom. 
Tip: Be specific! Instead of "Make a quiz," try "Create a 5-question multiple-choice quiz on photosynthesis for 7th graders." (Refer to the “Prompting 101” tab for more details.)

Step 4: Click the Submit (arrow) button and watch the magic happen.

Using Gemini on the Go (Mobile App)
Perfect for when you have a brilliant lesson idea while walking to the teacher’s lounge.

iOS (iPhone/iPad): Download the Google Gemini app here.

Android: Download the Google Gemini app here.

How to use: Once installed, just tap the app and speak or type your prompt. It’s great for quick summaries or generating email drafts on the fly.

You don’t have to switch tabs to get help. Gemini is built directly into the tools you use every day.
Look for the Gemini icon (a stylized diamond/star) or the "Ask Gemini" button in the top-right corner of these apps
