The calendar for the 2020-2021 school year was approved by the Seguin ISD Board of Trustees on March 30. To view the calendar, visit the calendar here.
An intersession calendar is an instructional calendar concept with brief breaks, or intersessions, built in throughout the school year. Instruction is provided during intersessions for students in need of extra academic support. This extra support is designed to close the gaps, especially those created by COVID and summer slide.
Students not attending intersession instruction would be out of school on the three designated days in the fall and spring.
Teachers who choose to work intersessions will earn additional pay above and beyond their 187 day contract.
Traditional district holidays and breaks remain intact.
