Seguin ISD Voters Say “Yes” to Proposition A
11/04/2026

SEGUIN, Texas (November 4, 2026)—Seguin ISD voters approved Proposition A in the November 3 election, with a majority of voters in favor, according to preliminary results. The approval will provide approximately $2.4 million in additional funding to support district operations, employee compensation, campus safety, and student programs.

“I’m incredibly grateful to our community for the trust and support they’ve shown Seguin ISD,” Superintendent Dr. Jack Lee said. “This additional funding will help us continue investing in our teachers and staff, protecting opportunities for our students, and providing the safe and supportive learning environments they deserve.”

The additional $2.4 million in funding includes approximately $950,000 in local tax revenue and $1.5 million in state funding each year moving forward. With the approval of Proposition A, the district’s total tax rate will remain unchanged at $1.0828 per $100 of taxable property value.

While the additional revenue will help address financial challenges, the district will continue working to reduce its budget deficit and manage its resources responsibly.

“Our community has placed its trust in us, and we take that responsibility seriously,” Lee said. “We still have important work ahead of us, and we’re going to continue making thoughtful decisions, being responsible with our resources, and doing what’s best for our students. I’m proud to be part of this community, and I’m excited about what we can continue building together.”
