Candidates File For Seguin ISD Board Election
08/20/2024

Candidates for two seats on Seguin ISD’s Board of Trustees will run unopposed, but the third open seat will be decided by the Board. Of the two candidates who filed by the 5 p.m. deadline on August 19, one is a current board member.

Trustee Grace Mueller filed for re-election, making her the only candidate for District 3. In District 6, Lisa Burns is the lone candidate for the seat currently held by Benito Amador. The district received no applications in District 1, the seat of current Board Vice President Carl Jenkins. Due to lacking candidates, the Board must appoint a trustee within 180 days.

The voter registration deadline for the Nov. 5 election is Oct. 7.

Eligible residents can find the voter registration application online at https://buff.ly/2E7DvoM or https://bit.ly/2Djqfdc.
