The Seguin ISD Board of Trustees has plans to fill the District 3 seat, soon to be vacant when trustee Cinde Thomas-Jimenez relocates out of state.
Residents of Seguin ISD District 3 who are interested in serving on the school board must email a letter of interest to pnramirez@seguin.k12.tx.us between Aug. 30 and Sept. 29 at 5 p.m.
Trustees will review all submissions on Oct. 10 and conduct interviews of selected candidates on Oct. 17. Ideally, the new District 3 trustee will be appointed at the Oct. 24 regular school board meeting.
The appointee will serve the remainder of Thomas-Jimenez’s term, which expires November 2024.
Eligible candidates must reside in District 3, which encompasses the northwest portion of Seguin ISD, including the McQueeney area. Maps of Seguin ISD single member districts are online at https://www.seguin.k12.tx.us/page/board.districts.
