Seguin ISD is hosting a State of the District presentation on Nov. 26, 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the Seguin High School Performing Arts Center (PAC). Dr. Matthew Gutierrez, superintendent, has planned the event as a component of the district’s strategic plan.

“The State of the District presentation is an opportunity to update the community on where we stand as a district as we close out the first semester. This is an opportunity to share information on initiatives that directly impact our students and for stakeholders to learn about our progress and the road that lies ahead,” he said.

At the event, Gutierrez will introduce the members of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Team. These are student representatives from each campus who have been chosen by their principal to serve in this leadership role. Team members meet with Gutierrez monthly to share their unique perspectives on their educational experiences in Seguin.

“I encourage our community members to attend the event and show their support for these student leaders. Community engagement is critical to the success of public schools and the State of the District will be an opportunity for community to participate and meet these students,” he said.

The Seguin High School PAC is located at 1315 E. Cedar St.
