Immunization Requirements

Seguin ISD follows the Texas Department of State Health Services recommendations for immunization compliance in order for a student to attend school. A student shall show acceptable evidence of vaccination prior to entry, attendance, or transfer to a child-care facility or public or private elementary or secondary school in Texas.

Vaccine exemption requests for reasons of conscience are valid for 2 years.  The original affidavit must be signed and notarized at the time of enrollment or prior to the date of expiration. Vaccination exemptions for medical reasons are valid for one year unless a lifetime exemption is specified by your physician.
