What is Seesaw?
Seesaw is a Learning Management System (LMS) that helps students, teachers, and families stay connected. It gives students a safe space to show what they know, be creative, and take ownership of their learning using photos, videos, drawings, text, and more.
With Seesaw, parents and guardians get a window into the classroom — seeing their child's progress and celebrating learning every step of the way.
How Seguin ISD Uses Seesaw
Our school district uses Seesaw primarily in early childhood and elementary grades as a digital portfolio and communication tool. Here’s how it supports learning:
Student Engagement: Students complete assignments, record videos, draw responses, and upload classwork in a way that is fun and interactive.
Family Involvement: Families receive notifications when their child posts something new. They can like and comment (with teacher moderation), staying informed and engaged.
Teacher Communication: Teachers use Seesaw to share announcements, learning updates, and classroom activities with families — all in one place.
Multilingual Support: Seesaw supports automatic translation, helping families who speak different languages stay connected.
