SEGUIN, Texas (July 29, 2025) – Students at four Seguin ISD elementary schools will receive supplemental school supplies this year, courtesy of the TEXAS YES project.
Seguin ISD is honored that TEXAS YES has once again selected Jefferson Avenue Elementary, McQueeney Elementary, Patlan Elementary, and Rodriguez Elementary to receive the “Box of Dreams.” Selected schools applied for the program based on eligibility; TEXAS YES has provided school supply kits to children across Texas since 1998.
“We are grateful to TEXAS YES for continuing to support Seguin ISD with this generous donation,” said Dr. Jack Lee, Seguin ISD superintendent. “These supplies are vital to the learning experience and will benefit our students and their families.”
Each kit includes colored pencils, crayons, notebook paper, a spiral notebook and eraser, glue stick, folders, a ruler, pencils, black and red ballpoint pens, and a box of tissues. The kit covers several items on Seguin ISD’s elementary school supply lists, but parents at these schools will need to purchase additional supplies to support their child’s learning for the year.
Nearly 1,700 students from Jefferson, McQueeney, Patlan, and Rodriguez also received the “Box of Dreams” last year. TEXAS YES has distributed more than 732,000 school supply kits statewide since 1998.
