Seguin ISD is aware of incidents involving District students that have been featured in local
media. Federal laws and District policies surrounding student privacy prevent us from discussing
the cases with the public. However, the District can address its practices and procedures
surrounding student safety.
The District takes all reports of bullying seriously and has protocols to investigate them, and –
when applicable — determine disciplinary consequences and/or criminal steps to follow. These
protocols are used in every bullying incident that is reported to the District.
We understand that parents have concerns about bullying and student safety. Seguin ISD
believes it has a strong anti-bullying program and bullying response system. To access the
SISD bullying reporting portal click here. Reports of issues such as bullying, fights, crimes
against children, drug use or sales on campus and others, also can be made anonymously
through the P3 portal here.
We recognize, however, that there is always room for improvement. To that end, the District has
scheduled a Town Hall Meeting to discuss bullying and other concerns with the community at 6
p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, at the Performing Arts Center, 1315 E. Cedar St.
Seguin ISD is committed to the safety of our students and staff, and the District is actively
working with community partners to provide resources to help support the physical, emotional
and social wellbeing of its students and families. Families can find more information on available
community resources here.
