Students at several Seguin ISD elementary schools received supplemental school supplies, courtesy of the TEXAS YES Project.

Superintendent Dr. Veronica Vijil joined staff at Rodriguez Elementary on Monday morning to help distribute each “Box of Dreams” to students. Similar distributions were also held at Jefferson, McQueeney, and Patlan Elementary schools.

Each kit includes pencils, paper, folders, tissues, and other classroom essentials to help supplement students’ supplies for the new school year. TEXAS YES, presented by Thomas J. Henry, provides boxes to selected elementary schools each year, based on eligibility requirements.

1,680 kits were provided to students across the four selected campuses in Seguin ISD. TEXAS
YES has distributed more than 660,000 school supply kits statewide since 1998.
