Seguin High School BPA Travels to Anaheim, CA

Seguin High School BPA attend National

SEGUIN, Texas (May 2, 2023) – Seguin High School Business Professionals of America students joined 6,500 students from across the nation, plus China and Puerto Rico, for the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA on April 25-30.

Matadors in attendance were Brylynn Baker, Kyra Casey, Kyle Fiebig, Kayla Hernandez, Yvette Hernandez, Kimberly Martinez and Danielle Nyame. These students were recognized as Ambassadors and received their Ambassador Torch Awards for their community service activities and leadership.

Anahi Marquez also earned her Ambassador award but did not attend. Kyle Fiebig and Kim Martinez were recognized for completing the Student Certification Series as they learned about BPA and ways to serve, network and advocate.

Seguin High School was also recognized with the Quality Chapter Award. Students were able to volunteer at the conference as well as serve as Texas voting delegates at the Texas caucus. Kyle Fiebig served as the Area 3, Region 3 President and worked with the Texas Leadership Team during the conference. Students participated in Open Events and had the opportunity to participate in the Days of Service events.

“We were well represented at the conference with a great group of students. We were excited to have so many students recognized for their hard work and dedication and to be spotlighted with the Quality Chapter Award. We look forward to their continued success and watching them grow,” said Seguin High School teacher and BPA advisor Diana Weber.

“Seeing our chapter thrive and succeed this past year has made me endlessly grateful and proud to call Seguin BPA my family. I am so proud of our members earning their Ambassador Torch Awards, Student Certifications, Quality Chapter Award, and everything else we earned throughout this year. We all had a blast at NLC 2023, and I had a great time representing Seguin BPA and Texas BPA. I have a tremendous honor to be Chapter President and seeing our chapter make it to Nationals has made me so thankful for every single member of BPA. I can't wait to see what is in store for us next year,” Fiebig said.

Sharon Booth is also a Seguin High School teacher and BPA advisor who attended the conference.
