Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Seguin ISD has modified
Meet the Teacher opportunities for students and families.
On Sept. 2, sixth grade students and parents/guardians may attend Meet the Teacher Night at
Barnes and Briesemeister middle schools from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Teachers at Ball Early Childhood Center will contact the parents of prekindergarten students to
schedule in-person Meet the Teacher for Sept. 2-4.
Kindergarten and first grade students, plus their parents, can meet teachers on Sept. 3 from 5:30-
6:30 p.m. at the student’s school.
These Meet the Teacher events are open to students who will be on campus for face-to-face
learning or those who will learn remotely from home this fall.
Health protocols will be in place, just like a regular school day. Temperatures will be checked
and masks must be worn by anyone in attendance. Hand sanitizer will be on hand at the school
entrance.
Online (remote) Meet the Teacher events will be available for all students in all grade levels.
This includes grades 2-5 and 7-12. Parents of pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first grade and
sixth grade can opt for online Meet the Teacher rather than attending the event on campus.
For all online Meet the Teacher events, campuses will notify families of dates and times once the
events are scheduled.
