Free ESL, GED courses to be offered at Mary B. Erskine School

Seguin ISD's Mary B. Erskine School will open its doors to students once again as Education Service Center Region 20 will host free adult education and literacy courses at the campus.

 

Registration for free General Equivalency Diploma (GED) courses is March 5 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Orientation is March 7 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Classes begin March 19.

 

Eligible GED students must be 19 years or older or 17-18 years of age with withdrawal form from last school attended and parent/guardian permission. Parent/guardian must be present at registration. Sixteen year olds are eligible based upon requirements for 17-18 years olds plus court ordered documentation.

 

Free English as a Second Language (ESL) courses begin March 20. Registration and orientation is March 6 and 8, respectively, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. both days.

 

Attendance at registration and orientation is mandatory for GED and ESL courses. It is recommended that attendees arrive 30 minutes early.
