Six Seguin High School singers placed in the All-Region choirs for their performances this fall.
Earning spots on the All-Region Mixed Choir were Charlotte De Leon and Chris Inocencio.
All-Region Treble Choir honors went to Cassidy Simmons, Danielle Croll, Julia Montgomery and Ginger Bowles.
According to Leo Garcia, Seguin High School choir director, “Charlotte is the first Seguin High School Choir member in several years to advance to the Top 10 Pre-Area round. This is a tremendous honor and we are proud of her accomplishment.”
The six Seguin High School students will perform with the All-Region Choirs on Nov. 12 in San Marcos.
Not to be outdone, Barnes and Briesemeister middle schools choir students were selected to perform at the TMEA Middle School All-Region Choir Concert and Clinic on Oct. 29 in San Marcos.
Sirena Vela, Andrew Burpo and Isaac Moore are the first students since 2011 from Barnes Middle School to achieve All-Region distinction.
Seventh grader Anna Busskohl of Briesemeister Middle School is also an All-Region singer.
Seguin ISD’s middle school choir students auditioned against students from North East, Comal, New Braunfels and San Marcos ISDs.
Perry Dean serves as the choir director at Barnes while Samuel Parrott directs the Briesemeister choir.
