Matador Cross Country places in TLU Invitational

The Seguin High School varsity boys cross country team took fifth place out of 31 schools at the TLU Bulldog Invitational 5K meet on Sept. 17.

 


The boys team included Matthew Brittain, Nathan Brittain, James Williams-Roussell, Alonzo Hill and Leo Costilla. Individual medals were awarded to Matthew Britain for placing eighth overall with a time of 18:15 and Nathan Brittain for finishing tenth overall with a time of 18:17.

 


The varsity girls team of Brianna Steans, Kaylie Koenen, Tate Smith, Delilah Rangel and Cassandra Navarro placed eighth out of 31 schools.

 


Steans earned an individual medal for her second place overall finish time of 20:40.

 


The JV boys took tenth out of 31 schools. Joshua Polcyn, Dylan Gonzales, Christian Rosas, Chanse Hernandez and Chaney Stephenson round out the team.

 


"Assistant Coach Guy Nowlin and I are extremely proud of all our Seguin High School cross country runners and look to continue to build upon our success this week in preparation for our meet on Sept. 24 in San Antonio," said Head Cross Country Coach Marisela Galeana.
