H-E-B partners with Dole to donate seven salad bars to Seguin schools

In an effort to increase children’s produce consumption and nutritional literacy, H-E-B is donating salad bars to all seven elementary schools in the Seguin Independent School District (ISD). The salad bar donation is made possible through a partnership with Dole Food Company and United Fresh Foundation, and will be implemented with the support of Seguin ISD and Chartwells, the food service provider for the school district.

One of the seven produce bars will be officially presented to students at a media event preceding lunch service at Rodriguez Elementary School. The media event will highlight donation details and the impact of the salad bar on students’ produce consumption. Interview opportunities will be available.

The event will take place at 10:20 am, on Thursday, September 24.
