Athletic Training Clinic (AT Clinic) Standards of Operation
The Athletic Training clinic is a medical facility where student athletes receive examinations, treatments, preventative care, as well as rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions. The Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing services in an attempt to maintain the student-athletes’ highest level of competition safely. The AT clinic (including supplies) is designed for Seguin ISD student athletes involved in UIL activity.
Hours of Operation
The Athletic Training Clinic (AT clinic or clinic) operates
Monday-Friday 6:30a-8:30a. After school hours Monday-Friday will be from

No treatments will be done during class periods unless given approval from the AT. Hours are subject to change due to sport season, tournaments, travel and inclement weather.
All student athletes are expected to report injuries immediately and attend treatments before school or after school unless otherwise specified (ex. transportation, early dismissal).
Athletes must sign in and check with the Athletic Trainer prior to beginning treatment or using any equipment.

INJURY INSURANCE
In the event that your child sustains an injury during their participation in an
Seguin ISD athletic practice or game that warrants a physician referral, a secondary insurance form will be provided to you or your child.
This insurance is
SECONDARY and will only cover
PART of the physician visit after your
PRIMARY insurance has already been used.
The secondary insurance form will
ONLY be provided by Seguin ISD Athletic Trainers when an injury referral is deemed necessary due to
participation with Seguin ISD.
CONCUSSION POLICY
Any student-athlete who is suspected of sustaining a
concussion must be evaluated and released by a licensed
physician. The student must also successfully complete the required
return-to-play protocol and post-concussion SCAT5 testing as defined by the SISD Concussion Oversight Team. In addition, the student-athlete and parent/guardian will be required to sign
return-to-play authorization forms.
