The filing period for Seguin ISD board of trustee seats in voting districts 1, 3 and 6 is officially open.
Residents of these districts who are interested in becoming a board candidate must pick up an application packet at Seguin ISD Central Office located at 1221 E. Kingsbury between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Completed packets must be returned to Central Office no later than Aug. 19 at 5 p.m.
The terms of office for trustees in voting districts 1, 3 and 6 expire Nov. 5, 2024 and are four-year terms.

There are several ways to register to vote in Guadalupe County:
1. Pick up a voter registration application at either one of the Elections Office locations and return it at least 30 days before the election date. Applications can be picked up at 215 S. Milam St., Seguin and 1101 Elbel Rd. in Schertz.
Completed and signed applications may be turned in at either office or mailed to P.O. Box 1346, Seguin, Texas 78156.
2. Applications are also available by visiting the Texas Secretary of State's website and completing the online application at
https://webservices.sos.state.tx.us/vrapp/index.asp. The completed application must be printed, signed and mailed.
3. The Elections Office will mail an application to you upon request. Call 830-303-6363.
Regardless of which application option is used, it is important to fill out the application completely and legibly. Voter registration will become effective 30 days after it is received.
If you move to another county, you must re-register in the county of your new residence. If you lose your certificate, you may contact the elections office at 830-303-6363 to request a new one.
