Dear Seguin ISD Community,

I am humbled and honored to serve as your new superintendent of schools.

While I’ve been in Seguin just a short time, I have had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful people who are passionate about education and the opportunities that we afford to all of our students.

I share this same passion and look forward to working with the board of trustees, staff, educators, students and stakeholders to improve the academic achievement and outcomes for all.

In order to begin this process, I have compiled a 90 Day Entry Plan comprised of goals, activities and a timeline designed to identify areas of opportunity as well as help me gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of what makes Seguin ISD so great.

Three examples of initiatives in the 90 day plan include

• Launching a Superintendent’s Student Advisory Team consisting of student leaders representing each district campus to meet with me monthly to discuss celebrations and concerns
• Creating task forces to address post-secondary readiness, meeting the needs of economically disadvantages students, Bilingual and English as Second Language programming and Gifted and Talented programs
• Engaging key stakeholders to collaborate on a Strategic Plan

My door is always open and I welcome your input on how we can provide the best education possible for all Seguin ISD students.
