Seguin ISD staff will host a parent information night for the LiiNK program on Jan. 15, 5-6 p.m., at the administrative office located at 1221 E. Kingsbury St.
The LiiNK Project, which stands for Let’s Inspire Innovation N’ Kids, is a TCU based program designed to develop the whole child through increased recess and character development.
Dr. Matthew Gutierrez, Seguin ISD superintendent, implemented LiiNK for kindergarten and first grade students at Jefferson and McQueeney elementaries last fall.
The program will be expanded to Patlan, Rodriguez and Vogel elementaries for kindergarten and first grade in the fall of 2019 and will also include kindergarten, first and second grade students at Jefferson and McQueeney.
“I encourage all parents and guardians of Seguin ISD elementary students to attend this informative meeting to learn more about LiiNK and what the program has to offer for our students, especially as we expand LiiNK to additional campuses this fall,” Gutierrez said.
For more information, contact Pete Silvius, Seguin ISD director of the whole child, at 830-372-5771, ext. 60653.
