SISD District Technology Committee
The District Technology Committee was formed during the 1990-1991 school year. The make up of this committee include representatives from each campus, Board of Trustees, Central Office including “special program”, parents, and community members. The committee meets annually to update the district’s technology plan. It is chaired by the Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Technology & Information Systems. This committee makes its recommendation to the Directors of Technology and Curriculum & Instruction, the District Educational Improvement Council (DEIC), the Superintendent & the SISD Board of Trustees.
The role of this committee is:
· To study the current status of technology district-wide.
· To survey state-of-the-art materials and equipment.
· To update action plans regarding administrative and instructional technology
improvements.
· To identify district/community/state/national trends in the use of technology.
· To identify priority needs within the district.
· To continually update the K-12 scope and sequence for technology instruction
and utilization.
