Eleven Seguin High School choir students earned a position in the All-Region Choir through the 2021–2022 Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State audition held Oct. 9.
These students will perform in a clinic and concert with the All-Region choir on Nov. 13 in San Antonio.
“Each student had to prepare for several weeks on challenging music and audition individually for a panel of adjudicators. Five of these students were chosen to advance to the Pre-Area round which will take place on Nov. 30. Additional Seguin High School choir students will have the opportunity to audition for potential placement in the Honor Treble Choir on Oct. 23,” said Jason Adam, Seguin ISD fine arts director.
All-Region Mixed Choir honorees include Kevin Blake, Anna Busskohl, Harrison Dean, Aidan Flores, Kayla Hinton, Robert Kibbe, Kaden Legore, Elizabeth Mays and Bryanna Vasquez.
Blake, Dean, Kibbe, Legore and Mays advanced to the Pre-Area round.
Alex Megason and Kellie Ranft earned All-Region Treble Choir honors.
The Seguin High School choir is under the direction of Samuel Parrott.
