The Seguin ISD Board of Trustees will review the District’s current bullying policy at their next regular board meeting on December 17, 2024.
The decision comes after the district received public input on bullying concerns in Seguin ISD schools. Trustees and school leadership recently heard from parents and community members at the District’s Nov. 18 Town Hall and the board’s Nov. 19 regular meeting.
“We understand that there are questions about how bullying is addressed,” Superintendent Dr. Veronica Vijil said.
“Our trustees and leadership team want to assure parents of the steps and protocols already in place, but we are also looking for ways to improve for the health and safety of our students.”
Trustees will also discuss discipline protocols and procedures at a future board workshop.
