Seguin ISD is hosting a second State of the District presentation
on April 16, 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the Seguin High School Performing Arts Center (PAC).
Dr. Matthew Gutierrez, superintendent, has planned the event to update the community on recent
initiatives, including the strategic plan, District of Innovation and others.
“We have experienced considerable positive progress as a district since our last State of the
District event in November. I am looking forward to sharing the status of recent projects as well as
some of the items we are considering for the future. I encourage anyone with an interest in Seguin
ISD to attend this event in our wonderful Performing Arts Center,” he said.
Several initiatives of the district’s new strategic plan, approved by trustees in March, are
underway, including the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Committee, a Facilities Committee
and a Key Communicators Committee that is tasked to serve as ambassadors for Seguin ISD.
Gutierrez notes that businesses or organizations interested in sponsoring future State of the District
presentations are encouraged to call (830) 401-8609.
