Texas Education Agency—Texas LEARNS

The Texas Center for the Advancement of Literacy and Learning (TCALL)
Housed at Texas A&M University, the Adult Literacy Clearinghouse Project at TCALL functions as Texas' official state literacy resource center. Funded by TEA and Texas LEARNS as a state leadership activity, the Clearinghouse provides a variety of services and resources for adult and family literacy providers, including a mail order library of resources, free quarterly newsletter, email discussion lists, and an online Literacy Provider Directory, support for professional development activities statewide, and research projects relevant to the adult and family literacy community in Texas.

Professional Development Workshops

The Texas Center for the Advancement of Literacy and Learning (T-CALL)
Professional development workshops are free and available for all teachers, staff, and volunteers who are affiliated with the Comal, Guadalupe and Kendall Counties Adult Education Cooperative.  The workshops are provided by the South Central GREAT Center of Excellence, located at the ESC-20, 1314 Hines, San Antonio, Texas.  The acronym GREAT stands for Getting Results Educating Adults in Texas.

In order to attend the Adult Education workshops, all staff must register through ESC 20’s  iLearning registration webpage. Go to the T-CALL website.  Click on Calendars, located toward the bottom of the page.  Then Select South Central GREAT Center (ESC-20)
